All that glitters is certainly not gold

A bit late with this post but still something to consider for the future. Glitter is basically plastic and as it falls off cards and other objects and materials that it is applied to it will enter the environment. The problem is that almost if not all environments on Earth are polluted by micro and nano sized plastics particles. The soil, the oceans and the air. Sure, one of two particles might not kill you directly or quickly but this plastic pollution is finding it’s way up through the food chains including those of plants and accumulating in our bodies. These small pieces of plastic can join with other chemicals and pathogens so potentially can cause great harm, even to humans. It may look great but for life on Earth glitter probably isn’t.
