This illustration is of a NGO that comes to Old Oak Meadow to help protect it from greedy housing developers from building all over it with their little boxes and sterile patches of uniform grass. It’s an illustration from my story Busy Bee and the Endangered Meadow available from Amazon as A4 format and as an ebook, https://www.amazon.co.uk/Busy-Endangered-Meadow-Paul-No%C3%ABl/dp/198320384X/, or as a 6″x9″ paperback, https://www.amazon.co.uk/Busy-Endangered-Meadow-Paul-No%C3%ABl/dp/B08BW5Y3CS/. The story is about some clever bees that want to protect their home and is for the 8-12 year old reader but adults seem to have enjoyed reading it too.
For those of you reading this post from outside of the UK, the country has lost 97% of its meadows since the middle of the 20th century. Our planing has been a complete disaster and has added greatly to both climate change, environmental destruction and pollution.
