We are the only animal to burn stuff and before we discovered fire and cooking our food would have been raw and uncooked. To replace the burning of climate change generating materials is going to require a large amount of renewable resources which have a limited lifespan. We really do need to find what a sustainable number of humans is that the planet can support because at the moment we are way beyond that figure.
