When the government fails the people, the people need to act

First posted on the 1st of January 2021. It’s quite clear that in the UK we desperately need political system change.

All over the world there are examples of the political class failing the people in so many ways. They answer only to the rich one percent and to powerful corporations. It therefore leaves people to act for themselves until the failed political system can be truly wrested back into the interests of the many. Individuals are still wasting food

Do you find it strange that even in these very difficult times that some people are still wasting food? Our food waste consists of cuttings and peelings. There seems to be a problem with certain individuals and their relationship with food. This has got to change. If you waste food then you cannot complain that it is too expensive.

Two different faces and expressions at around mile 22 of the 2014 London Marathon. 13th April.

How many people are capable of running? How many could actually run a marathon? How could anyone run a marathon dressed like one of the charity or comedy costumes? From the photos I have April 13th 2014 seemed like a sunny day at least.

Let’s hope the 2022 London Marathon will be a real one and not a virtual event where everyone runs it on their own. Part of what makes London special is the number of people running together and the huge support they get from the crowd.

Thomas the Tank Engine and Snow White, second photo, 2014 London Marathon

Participating in a marathon is very hard but especially when you are in a costume like Thomas the Tank Engine and no matter how light it is it will still be moving against your body for those 26 miles. I hope that these runners made it to the end. 13th April.
