Buzz of a Party – Busy Bee and the Endangered Meadow

Busy Bee and the Endangered Meadow is a story about some bees trying to save their meadow from some evil, grasping housing developers. Bea is the hardest working bee in the hive and she comes up with the idea to try and fool the local council that a rare and endangered species lives in the meadow. The developers however are not going to let some bees get in the way of their profit but little do they know that they will be taking on all the creatures of the meadow in a fight to protect their homes.

In the UK we have lost 97% of our meadows since the middle of the 20th century much of them to the obesity of urban sprawl and a planning system unfit for purpose. Some research shows that meadows are very good carbon sinks, perhaps as good as forests. In the UK however, as in many other countries, the countryside has been built over.

The book is available as an ebook or in two printed forms, a 9″x6″ paperback sized book or as an A4 large easy read version. Functioning ecosystem, not weeds, food for pollinators, Hyde Park, London

There is nothing natural about gardening. The idea of a weed and a flower is purely in the mindset of the human primate. Daisies and dandelions are part of a functioning ecosystem and food for pollinators. You know the ones that help put a huge variety of food on our tables. It is therefore unnatural to dump man made chemicals all over ecosystems hoping that they will be specific to the parts that the human primate doesn’t like without damaging other forms of life. We don’t have a TV but I saw an advert on my brother’s TV showing a fairy tale of killing what looked like a dandelion. Please don’t spray or apply, herbicides, pesticides, insecticides or any other form of poison just to get rid of daisies and dandelions. Cut them if you must but don’t poison nature just because in your mind daisies and dandelions are weeds that must be removed because you don’t like the look of them. 2nd May 2021.

Bee smart – a bee design organic cotton T-shirt

We took a Teemill base image and have made it into our fist T-shirt about bees with the message “Bee smart – Extinction is forever” printed on it. This is to highlight the plight of both bees and other pollinators suffering so much from human activity. We know the pesticides and other chemicals we use are wiping out these important species and yet the human race is pretentious enough and governed by powerful corporations enough to ignore the warning that nature is sending us. Part of the problem is the disconnect between the supermarket shopper and how the food actually arrived on the shelves. We need to stop this chemical war on nature and the environment. It may return handsome short term profits but it cost the extinction of many species including us. This is the link to the T-shirt, https://junagarh-media.teemill.com/product/bees-v1b/.

National Meadows Day – UK

In the UK it is #nationalmeadowsday and despite their importance the country has lost many of them during the recent decades as our urban sprawl has made our built infrastructure look like a very obese person along with all the detrimental environmental effects.

My story, Busy Bee and the Endangered Meadow has a meadow as a central theme in it. I will donate part of the profit from any sales of the stories to a good cause of your choosing. It is available from Amazon Amazon for the Kindle and as a Print on Demand storybook with illustrations to be coloured in. It is also available as pdf from our website www.junagarhmedia.co.uk.

Busy Bee and the Endangered Meadow – Now Available as A4 Story and Colouring Book

Finally, the Print on Demand version of the story Busy Bee and the Endangered Meadow is available. If you buy a copy I will donate a percentage of the profits to a cause of your choice.
