Mary and Jesus, catholic parish church, Plaffeien, Fribourg, Switzerland

A statue of Mary and Jesus. To quote from an official Fribourg site, “It is the largest neo-Romanesque church in Canton Fribourg. In May 1906 almost the entire village of Plaffeien was destroyed by fire. The Catholic parish church was rebuilt and inaugurated in 1910.”

If you are thinking of beautiful places to visit Switzerland offers a wide variety of stunning scenery and locations. The public transport system makes getting around very easy. 27th August 2009.

The Two Revolutionaries, Colombia

We spent one year backpacking around the world between March the 15th 1999 and March the 15th 2000 with eight and a half months travelling around South America. This photograph was taken in the Colombian city of Barranquilla where a poster seller had set up a number of posters on a wall.

This version of the photograph is in a cream mount measuring approximately 40 x 30cm. We only have two of these and we will be putting them in our Etsy shop shortly once we have worked out postage and packaging costs.

Other photographs of ours are available and we made eight of them into a set of blank cards. They were taken with an old Canon A1 35mm camera using slide film. The cards are available from our Etsy shop, https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/JunagarhMedia.

Jesus runs the 2015 London Marathon

The different costumes are always amazing in the London Marathon and this one is quite incredible.

How many people are capable of running? How many could actually run a marathon? How many could run a marathon dressed like this? From the photos I have April 26th 2015 wasn’t the warmest of days but still.

The event was cancelled in 2020 and it would be a shame if because of the pandemic it is cancelled in 2021.
