This is another organic cotton T-shirt from our Scientist and Philosopher range that we have produced on the Teemill platform. I took this photo in Place de la Palud, Lausanne, Switzerland. A man was entertaining children by blowing soap bubbles. Against a blue sky it looks wonderful but the bubble only lives for a very short time. In some ways our lives are very similar and we should therefore not waste our days or any moments of our time. You can even send these items back to be made into new things when you have finished with them.

Climate changes is ……….

So what is climate change? Very simply it’s you and I and the other 8,000,000,000 human monkeys being normal. It’s us going about our days with very little thought to what we as a total are doing to the very finite dot that we all reside on. Some of us drive cars, some of us live in mud huts, some of us use computers and are paid lots of what we call money for doing so while others walk kilometres a day just to collect dirty water or firewood. Climate change is the cumulative effect of 8,000,000,000 of us doing what we are doing from one instant to the next. And whether we are sitting in an office making wealth on a screen, or building a fossil fuel power plant that will hasten our demise or walking under the baking sun for some dirty water, few of the the collective consciousnesses are considering what will happen when we run out of moments. For instance, here’s an article on the flooding that will occur later this century. So whatever you are doing that is normal and that you are doing at this moment sit back and have a think about what the cumulative effects are of your 8,000,000,000 neighbours of the pale blue dot are before it’s too late.

Can We Really Have Screwed Up This Bad? – Yes We Have

Are We Now in Generation VVV, Vain, Vacant and Vacuous?

First posted in the middle of 2018. Looking at what is happening around the world in politics it seems the situation is getting worse with only a small percentage of people rebelling against wealth and power.

It seems to me that a lot of people just don’t care as long as they have their headphones on and their brains switched on to digital effluent. We need everyone’s engagement if we are to stop the current slide into a system where only a few have wealth and with it the power to tell us what to do and how to live our lives.

Humanity – The Dumbest Creature on Earth?

In just over 200 years of our supposedly greatest revolution, the industrial revolution, this is an example of what that wonderful convenient lifestyle that we all live has delivered to the multitude of other lifeforms that share this planet with us. The lifeforms that we are driving to extinction because we as a species are basically dumb.

Nuclear Power – Our Future or Not?

First posted in June 2018 and since then renewables have come on in leaps and bounds. At the same time we need to stop wasting energy om pointless advertising as in this building in London.

Various people will tell us that without fossil fuels we need nuclear power but looking at this article about another possible quake in Japan and it makes you wonder if we are playing Russian Roulette on a global scale. Plate tectonics is not going to stop anytime soon so is anywhere safe to build these power plants.
