Illustrations from The Lost Marble Colouring Book

Extract from my book, The Lost Marble Colouring Book

The Lost Marble Colouring Book is a simplified version of the The Lost Marble with the emphasis on the illustrations with just a line of text accompanying each one. The story is about a marble who falls out of the pocket of a boy who has his pockets full of them. The marble then has to find his way home. This version of the book is for younger readers and includes additional illustrations to colour in. The book is available as a printed book as it would not work as well as an eBook. The story is available from Amazon. Also available from  Junagarh Media are blank greeting cards and a pdf version.

Henry, the short sighted mouse bumps into the marble

Extract from my book, The Lost Marble

The Lost Marble is a story about a marble who falls out of the pocket of a boy who has his pockets full of them. The marble then has to find his way home. The story has line drawings like the one below throughout the text and in the printed book they are also repeated at the end. Younger readers can then colour them in as well as read the story. The story is available from  Amazon as a printed book or as an eBook.

The little marble was just dozing when he heard the “squeak, squeak, squeak” of a little grey mouse. Suddenly the mouse crashed into him.

“Who left that here?” exclaimed Henry the short-sighted mouse.
“I was dropped here by my owner, it was an accident,” said the little marble.
“Good heavens, a talking marble,” replied Henry.
“I’m waiting for the sunrise and then I am going to roll away home.”

Meeting Henry

The little marble told his story to Henry and how he was going to find his way home tomorrow.

“Do you know where you are going?” asked Henry.
“Yes, to the big red house with the large garage, number 33,” replied the little marble. “Do you know it where it is?”
“Oh that’s easy,” said Henry. “Just roll to the edge of the grass, turn left, then left again and it is the second road on the right.”
“Thank you very much,” said the now not so sad little marble.
