Here’s the illustration from the first page of picture book for 2-4 year old children. It’s about a fruit fly that gets trapped in a pot of strawberry jam and puts on weight while waiting to escape.

The wonderful illustrations are by Nicola Bailey, the illustrator (@NicolaButterfli). She has worked on a number of books with her two daughters. My latest published story, it’s about Melanie

Melanie is the main character from the new story that I worked on with the illustrator Nicola B @NicolaButterfli, https://twitter.com/NicolaButterfli. It’s called Melanie and the Pot of Jam.

This is the final page apart from the text pages about healthy eating. Due to problems loading the file into KDP it will be in 2024 before it is published.

In this illustration Melanie has been let out of the pot of jam and has escaped from the kitchen. Unfortunately, her extra weight is bending the small twig that she landed on.

Melanie finds that because of the weight she has put on she cannot fly very fast but she sees an open window and tries to make her escape.
