The human race is addicted to burning fossil fuels to the detriment to life on Earth. Carbon dioxide emissions have been released in large quantities since the start of the industrial revolution. The level now seen in the atmosphere has not been at such a level since before the start of this current series of ice ages around 2.58 million years ago. The implications are that parts of the planet will become uninhabitable and there will be mass extinctions of different forms of life which may include Homo sapiens.

Sharks are an integral part of marine ecosystems being a top predator and without them systems can collapse. Unfortunately they have a bad reputation in some ways because they dare to be in the water where humans want to surf. Considering they have been in the water for 450 million years who are we to question their right to remain there? They are killed slowly by the people who cut their fins off for soup and traditional medicine, a very large market in China. The number of deaths registered to this horrific practice is thought to be between 73 and 100 million each year. This needs to stop and we need to change. This is another organic cotton T-shirt from our Scientist and Philosopher range that we have produced on the Teemill platform. I took this photo in Place de la Palud, Lausanne, Switzerland. A man was entertaining children by blowing soap bubbles. Against a blue sky it looks wonderful but the bubble only lives for a very short time. Taking this photo I have added Think for yourself to it because many people in so many situations do not think issues through. They are often told by others what to think and are not capable of critical thinking that is often looked upon unfavourably. This is very dangerous for the future of our own species as well as many other forms of life. (S&P)
