This is another illustration from my story, The Lost Marble Colouring Book. It is a simpler version than The Lost Marble and is for child of 3 – 5 years of age. It only contains one line of text per page and has more illustrations to colour in. The Lost Marble is a book about a marble that falls from the pocket of a boy who has many and then has to find its way home with the help of several characters.

The sun rises. Time for the marble to start making his way home before the ants come back looking for him.

It is the book that I wrote for the 5-7 year old reader although it could be read to younger readers as it is quite a simple story. I also produced it in two versions. Although this one has illustrations to colour in, the second one, The Lost Marble Colouring Book has less text, one line per page and more illustrations. It is aimed at the 3-5 year old age group.

After the sun has risen the marble starts to roll his way home but he ends up going too fast and is in danger of crashing over the high kerb. Nobody plays with broken marbles so he’s in danger.

It is the book that I wrote for the 5-7 year old reader although it could be read to younger readers as it is quite a simple story. I also produced it in two versions. Although this one has illustrations to colour in, the second one, The Lost Marble Colouring Book has less text, one line per page and more illustrations. The Lost Marble is a book about a marble that falls from the pocket of a boy who has many and then has to find its way home with the help of several characters.

After Henry the short sighted mouse has left and it’s getting a bit darker along comes Rex who tells the lost marble that the advice that Henry had given him was indeed wrong. He then tells the marble the correct way to find his way home.

It’s getting late and in this illustration a short sighted mouse called Henry bumps into the lost marble and offers him some advice on how to get home the next day. Hearing Henry literally crash into things after he leaves the marble doesn’t instill in him any confidence on how good that advice is.

Page 24 illustration from the new story that I’m working on with illustrator Nicola B @NicolaButterfli, https://twitter.com/NicolaButterfli called Melanie and the Pot of Jam. This is the final page apart from the text pages about healthy eating. Due to problems loading the file into KDP it will be the third or fourth quarter of 2023 before it is published.
