The human population has grown way beyond what the planet can support and unless people are one of the many still subsistence farming they are often in the business of selling something rather than making something so we have countless individuals selling plastic tat often made half a world away from where it is then sold. So here’s an example of selling plastic tat. This photo is from almost 12 years ago so where’s all this plastic tat now? Undoubtedly some of it will have broken and be past its short lifespan of use so now it will probably be in various sized pieces and often polluting the environment. We need to change our system in so many ways.
I took this photo through the coach window which had a film on it of some kind. The bus was taking us to Asuncion. We had just met up with some Paraguayan friends in Foz do Iguazu for a couple of days. 26th November 2009.
